Backing off the horse pills, Hank continued his physical conditioning, and was eventually accepted to the Astronaut Photo Opportunity Program (APOP). NASA used APOP to provide the public with much needed publicity photos of Apollo astronauts without exposing the true identities of the real astronauts.
